Task Assignments

What Task Assignments Does

Task Assignments lets the Chief Judge or event organizer assign specific duties to jury panel members for the event — for example, who is responsible for the schedule, who handles scoring inquiries, who manages the public displays, or who is on duty for a particular racing area. Each task can have a primary assignee and a backup. Panel members can view their own assignments from the Tasks page in the Event Panel.

Setting Up Tasks

Enable the task assignments feature by editing your event and selecting Jury Tasks in Event Settings. Once enabled, a Tasks link appears in the Event Panel under Jury Operations. Click + Select Tasks to see the full list of available tasks. Check the box next to each task you want to include for this event. For each selected task, click the + button to search for an official by name and assign them as the primary responsible person. You can assign a backup the same way by leaving the primary checkbox unchecked when searching.

Viewing and Using Assignments

Once tasks are assigned, each official can see their own assignments when they click Tasks in the Event Panel. The Chief Judge sees all assignments. Let your panel know that their assignments are available on the Event Panel — it is a useful reference during the event to ensure accountability and to quickly identify who to contact for any given function. Assignments can be changed at any time by editing the task.
