Tips
Hey all. You might have noticed that Paul has been experimenting with the forum interface a bit.

He has removed the thumbs-up/down ability and replaced it with "Wind Tips".   In the top-right corner of each post/comment is a blue "Wind" box.  Click that and a pop up will allow you to "tip" a comment.

The tips come out of your "Wind Rewards" total.  So you build up wind rewards as you post and comment and then you can spend those rewards on tips as a way to support what's being said on the forum.

It's an experiment to see how this feels and works and to see how people use them ... so give it a try and tip a comment the next time you agree.

That’s great, but when is Paul going to add threading?

So Paul, it's 1-level deep?

Yes.  One level.

Ric ... can you be more descriptive of what you are suggesting?  You want to allow sub-threads within topics with an expandable/collapsible tree like structure?

(Not sure I'd be in favor of that, I find it confusing on other forums)

Exactly.  Like Reddit. People reply to comments here but don’t identify to whom they’re replying and the discussion gets all confused once the number of comments grows past a certain length

More positive and conducive approach than the thumbs up/down...

So, my personal feelings about nested replies is that it's hard to find what is last posted as it could be a reply to a message very early on in the thread.

So, I'd like to suggest, that you offer 2 thread-viewing modes:
  1. Nested replies
  2. Flat Chronological (old way)

I added a drop down at the top of the comments.
