With the more common use of standard penalties, we've implemented a specific form to support them.  The Standard Penalties panel provides a lookup field to select the competitor, describe why the penalty was imposed and the penalty imposed.  The competitor is then notified via email/sms etc.  The scorer is also provided the penalty information on the scoring panel.  You can begin to use the Standard Penalty panel by selecting it as one of the settings when you create or edit an event.  Thanks to Ben Harding (HKG) for assisting with this project.
