When we got the assigned rental boat at the lottery we found out during our inspection that the mast was faulty. It had stress damage at the top spreaders. We notified the sailing club, responsible for the boat of this. They informed us that they should replace the faulty mast with a new one. As we were informed the new mast got delayed and arrived first after the competition started, i.e. 21st of November evening.
A new "Far East 28R" mast mast was delivered. We were in contact with the technical judge, Mr. Ulrik, who gave us verbal permission to mount the new mast.
