I have put together a Club Race Management Seminar I want to share. Here is the link to four files.

The purpose is to educate both race committee volunteers and competitors on the basics of race management.

The presentation is in Prezi format named Club Race Management Prezi. Just double click to launch the presentation. Also included are Presenter's Notes in Word and PDF format and the presentation handout in PDF format. I would not print the handout as it contains lots of color and would eat up toner. I think just giving the PDF to participants so they could review later would be good.

Just launch and bring to full screen. Use the right and left arrow keys or better a wireless "clicker" to move through the presentation. Two videos are embedded that require you to click on it with the mouse to launch. These cool videos are found on the OCS and Missing mark slides.

You are free to download and use, no credit required. I do ask that you email me if you have suggestions to improve anything.

Thanks.

You should clarify that this material is not approved by US Sailing towards certification as a Club Race Officer. Perhaps a better title to this might be in order?

Also, asking someone to download an EXE file - even if it is Prezi - is generally frowned upon.

Thanks Matt, very good point. I have changed the name on all materials to Race Management for Race Committee and Competitors. I also doubled checked for any mentions to US Sailing and there are only 2: a picture of the RRS and a mention in the Presenter's Notes that the PRO should be US Sailing certified.

I also agree that folks must be very cautious about downloading executable files and should never click an unexpected file that arrives as an email attachment. I have taken some precautions. I am the only person with write rights to the share therefore a bad guy cannot slip malware into the file.

The Prezi file is large and would be rejected by most email systems as being such so emailing to folks was not an option. And the file extension would need to be change to something like .txt to pass through most email systems. The the end user would need to change the file extension back to .exe before use.

I went with Prezi over PowerPoint in an attempt to bring a new look to the presentation.
